In 2022, Lloyd Austin put out the call — members of the U.S. Army who struggle with inflation should utilize public assistance, aka “food stamps” to support their families. The Committee to Support and Defend believes strongly that no individual who has volunteered to support and defend our Constitution and protect our nation should have to go on public assistance to provide for their families. We are here to stand in the gap and help connect service members with a network of resources that can help them in their time of need, as well as provide direct financial support where needed.
Sometimes emergency needs arise which negatively impact the U.S. military family. Those in need of help with emergency vehicle repair, support for utilities, groceries, or assistance in the wake of natural disasters can reach out to CSD for support.
