. . . And so are the intentions of the left

We have now had two prominent progressive socialist elected officials utter the nonsense that no amendment to the Constitution is absolute. Those two delusional individuals are Joe Biden and New Mexico Governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham. In both cases these petty tyrants have laid their sights firmly on the Second Amendment in our individual Bill of Rights.

“A well regulated (meaning trained) militia (meaning us, American citizens) being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

I just find it so very hard to rationalize what these leftists find so confusing about this simple language? “Shall not be infringed” means do not mess with it, leave it alone. In some circles there are some very colorful ways to express this, however, this is a child-friendly missive.

Joe Biden is attempting to use the federal government agency known as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) for this unconstitutional infringement. His bidding includes seeking to criminalize certain firearms accessories and create a national gun registry. That did not work out so well for people in Nazi Germany. Now, we have the Governor of New Mexico asserting that she has ordered a 30-day suspension of Second Amendment rights in Albuquerque and the surrounding county. She has used an executive decree to disallow any open or concealed carry of legal and law-abiding citizens in this stated area. That includes, in her mind, folks coming into that area as visitors, or to conduct business.

Here is the true crux of the matter: Gov. Grisham is a student of the Rahm Emanuel school of crisis exploitation . . . “never let a good crisis go to waste.” She has declared a “public health emergency” exemption to the US Constitution based upon the rampant rise of crime in the aforementioned city. The problem is that crime is on the rise in Albuquerque, a Democrat-controlled city, due to the inane policies of the Democrats: defunding of police, releasing of violent criminals, bail reform, open borders, and social justice activist judges. This is something being replicated all across these United States. So, how does one Governor Grisham intend to “rectify” the situation? Yeah, tell legal and law-abiding citizens that their constitutional right to carry firearms is suspended. When asked if she believed that this will curtail crime, she admitted she does not.

Let’s see this for what it is, a test case, and attempt by the gun control maniacs of the left to do exactly what the Constitution’s second amendment says they cannot, “shall not be infringed.” It is absurd to believe that an issue created by the ideological agenda of the left can be turned into a restriction on citizens, and their constitutional right, who have done nothing wrong. As a matter of fact, in such a place of wanton crime, and drug cartel activity, who would not want citizens to be able to protect themselves? The progressive socialist left. What Grisham, and the left, are seeking is an opportunity to push the envelope, to see how far they can go. Realize that We the People allowed ourselves to be forced to stay indoors, have our businesses shut down, our children masked, schools closed, and for what?

The leftists are seeking a precedent by which they can use elsewhere in America. Declare a public health emergency because of rampant crime, which our policies created, in order to criminalize the right to keep and bear arms. This endeavor in New Mexico is not just unconstitutional, it is also unenforceable, and it was good to see the local sheriff refuse to enforce this idiocy, and a federal judge has blocked this suspension of Second Amendment rights.

But how can the left use this elsewhere?

Well, they can declare climate change a public health emergency. Look at the court decision in Montana. Then they can issue orders, mandates, edicts, and decrees restricting the use of internal combustion engine vehicles, or maybe introduce fines for usage. Do not laugh, this is already happening in England. They have already been there with COVID, and are ramping up to do so again. Heck, the left even wants to ban beef and other foods that they believe can cause a public health crisis. Don’t laugh, they are talking about killing cows, and not for beef production.

The leftists are the real threats, danger, to our Constitutional Republic. They do not believe that our rule of law is absolute. They believe in their own absolutism. Never forget that it was back on April 19, 1775, when the British were marching inland towards Concord, Massachusetts. Their intended target was a weapons and armaments factory that was supplying the Sons of Liberty. The militia, common men, met the British at Lexington Green, and later Concord Bridge. They fired the shot that was heard “round the world” because they refused to live under British absolutism, tyranny, totalitarianism. My, have we come full circle with our present day Redcoats!  Our founders believed that an armed individual was a citizen, and that a disarmed one was a subject. They gave us the Second Amendment as the bulwark to protect our First Amendment rights. The left does not believe our First Amendment rights are absolute either.

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has just become a political advertisement for 2024. As of yet, I have only seen one Democrat elected official, Ted Lieu of California, speak out against her actions. We the People cannot Live Free if we cannot protect and defend our freedom personally. The American Constitutional Rights Union condemns New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s actions, and will be signing an Amicus Brief to the several lawsuits being enjoined against her unconstitutional action. We will not surrender, retreat, or be subjugated.
