Treaty of Hudaybiyah…2025

October 13, 2025
If you are a student of Islamic jihadist history and of Muhammad’s exploits, you will certainly understand the title of this missive. The year was 628 AD, and Muhammad was the leader of the Islamic warriors he had built up as part of his Hijra, meaning migration, from Mecca to Medina. Muhammad fled Mecca because the Banu Quraish tribe, his own people, had rejected his new belief. In his anger and rage, he built up a marauding army of followers and sought to return and take Mecca. However, to Muhammad’s surprise, he found the Meccans more prepared and of greater strength than he had believed. So, Muhammad called for a “peace agreement” called the Treaty of Hudaybiyah, which was to last for ten years. In truth, it was a delaying tactic, and Muhammad violated the treaty in two years and conquered Mecca, slaying his opposition.
In the Islamic jihadist world, the Treaty of Hudaybiyah is seen as a tradition of Muhammad to enter into an agreement with non-Muslims only until an advantage is gained. This is in combination with the Islamic principle of taqiyya, which is the allowing denial or deception of a true intent of their belief, supposedly in fear of danger or persecution…but it had morphed into an acceptance of lying, especially to non-Muslims, to further the cause of Islam.
Let the Challenges Fly
Of course, the usual suspects will read this and decry “islamophobe.” Spare me. Just remember that term was created by the unindicted co-conspirator, the Council for America-Islamic Relations (CAIR), in the largest Islamic terrorist funding trial in US history, the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial. And CAIR is known as Hamas in America.
I know that everyone is celebrating the so-called “peace agreement” between the State of Israel and Hamas, a designated Islamic terrorist organization. Yes, emotionally, I can sympathize with those families who want their loved ones returned from Hamas captivity, some 48. However, we all know that some of those being returned will be only remains. On the other hand, Hamas is receiving 250-300 life-sentenced jihadists from Israeli prisons. If Hamas were serious about seeking peace, why not just return the hostages without demanding the release of terrorists?
Time Will Tell
See, I find it hard to believe that an Islamic terrorist organization that two years ago beheaded babies and put children into ovens wants peace. Hamas’ charter calls for the eradication of the State of Israel and the killing of Jews worldwide. I do not recall them denouncing their charter. These are people who only understand the physical use of strength, might, and power. Sitting at a table negotiating and compromising with them is seen as weakness.
I do not believe for one minute that Hamas will disarm and disband. They will not concede to being the governing authority in Gaza. As well, so what, we have a “peace agreement” with Hamas, which they will view the same as Adolf Hitler saw the Munich Accords of 1938. British leader Sir Neville Chamberlain asserted that he had a signed document from Herr Hitler that would lead to peace in our times. Hitler saw it as a weakness, and not long after, the world learned of the blitzkrieg “lightning war” as the Nazi war machine rampaged across Eastern Europe. Hitler would refer to the Munich Accords not as “peace in our time” but rather a piece of paper.
Worthless Paper?
Yes, I want to see peace in the Middle East, but I am a realist who understands signing a piece of paper with an Islamic terrorist organization is not the means to that end. And in this case, history confirms and supports my position. Remember, it is not just Hamas that runs about in Gaza and the region; you have Al Quds and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, Islamic Jihad, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Popular Resistance Committees, Ansar al-Sunna, Suyuf al-Haq, Huras al-Masra, and Fatah. Are they signatories to this “peace agreement”?
That does not mean we do not try, but we must endeavor to that end by recognizing our enemy, yes, enemy. You do not murder and rape young women and then declare for peace. You do not bludgeon two little boys, brothers, with rocks and then state that they were killed by an errant Israeli missile. You do not steal humanitarian aid from “your own people” and then force them to buy it from you. You do not take global humanitarian aid and use it to build invasion tunnels and weapons, instead of infrastructure. You do not base your entire raison d’être on the destruction of an entire group, race, or people and masquerade as saying that you want peace.
Underlying Motivations
Israel left Gaza in 2006, and what have they gotten in return? And Hamas has incessantly rejected any policy of a “two-State solution.” They want Israel destroyed and Jews killed, just like Hitler, Yasser Arafat, Arafat’s Uncle, and the Muslim Brotherhood. And Qatar? After Iran, Qatar is the number two State sponsor of Islamic terrorist organizations, and they harbor the leadership of Hamas and others. Don’t forget that is where the Taliban Five resided after Obama released them from GITMO.
So, yes, we have the Treaty of Hudaybiyah 2025, just another “piece of paper.”
I am not holding my breath as I know that this will blow up in our faces soon. The question is, will we respond forcefully and send a message? Or, like the Meccans of 630AD, be slaughtered? The world is not about the art of the deal; in many cases, it is about the art of war, and knowing history and its relevance.
Steadfast and Loyal.
