Constitutional Rights Organization calls on Dallas Chief of Police Daniel Comeaux to Uphold the Rule of Law and Protect Citizens from Criminal Illegal Aliens

Dallas, Texas – American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU) named Dallas City Police Chief Daniel Comeaux as an Oath Breaker. Oath Breakers are local law enforcement officers and agencies that have failed to honor their oath to protect and to serve by not fully cooperating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to protect legal, law-abiding citizens from criminal illegal aliens under federal law.

According to ICE: “The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 added Section 287(g) to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) — authorizing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to delegate to state and local law enforcement officers the authority to perform specified immigration officer functions under the agency’s direction and oversight. The 287(g) Program enhances the safety and security of our nation’s communities by allowing ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) to partner with state and local law enforcement.”

“Certain law enforcement imposters have made it clear that they no longer prioritize enforcing the law but instead bow to the ideological agendas of political figures to whom they report,” said Lt. Col. Allen West, Executive Director of ACRU. “They may wear the badge, but their allegiance appears misplaced — not with the citizens they swore to protect, nor with the sacred duty to uphold the law with honor and integrity. We must call these officials out and hold them accountable to their constitutional oath. American citizens deserve better.”

ACRU officially launched its Defender Initiative April 3, 2025, with the recognition of its first of many Defender Award Recipients. The Defender Initiative recognizes law enforcement agencies honoring their constitutional oath to protect and to serve by working cooperatively with ICE to identify, process, and detain dangerous immigration offenders per Section 287(g). Likewise, it exposes oath breakers refusing to cooperate with this critical mission, directly undermining American citizens’ rights to safety and security.
