“There is a reason why the very first freedom for Americans in our individual Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments, is the freedom of religion and the free exercise thereof. The founding fathers were very aware of what drove the first Pilgrims to the shores of America . . . and it ain't the insidious 1619 Project assertion.” ACRU Executive Director Allen West continues, “The left has a very disturbing religion, and to defy them, regardless of your faith, results in persecution and potential prosecution.”
In a move that has gotten little notice in the press, the Biden administration is proposing federal hiring rules that easily could be abused to deny employment to anyone who questions liberal, woke policies, criticizes the government, or belongs to a politically incorrect organization.
After taking over Twitter, Elon Musk has embarked on a campaign to toss the skeletons from Twitter’s secret closets into the sunshine. We knew Twitter was a tech tyrant, censoring conservative views and users, but until now, the depth of the issue has never been publicly exposed, complete with, what appears to be, solid proof and source documents.
In an early morning raid Friday in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania, about two dozen FBI agents with weapons drawn pounded on the door of Mark Houck’s home, where he lives with his wife and seven children. The FBI agents arrested Houck based on a federal indictment. Sounds serious, right? Is Houck a domestic terrorist, an American jihadist, a dangerous militia member, a violent felon, or someone with a prior history of violence toward law enforcement who would require such an overwhelming show of force? Not even close.
The Justice Department has hit Eagle Forum of Alabama with a voluminous subpoena that violates the organization’s First Amendment rights to speak freely, engage in the political process, and talk to its elected representatives.
This video, highlighting the unprecedented government abuse via its FBI raid on former President Trump's private residence, caused the leftist social media machine to permanently ban LTC West from TikTok. What's next? The left fears truth and free discourse of political views, so they simply silence opposing viewpoints in the media and online.
As the Executive Director of the American Constitutional Rights Union, I commend the US Supreme Court once again for ruling on the side of the Constitution and individual rights. The Coach Kennedy case was a secular humanist and progressive socialist challenge to our very first liberty, the freedom of religion and the free exercise thereof. Coach Kennedy's actions of taking a knee in prayer after HS football games was a personal right. He did not advocate for or seek any state, government, endorsement, nor coerce anyone to enjoin with him. We have distorted the concept of Separation of Church and State, written by Thomas Jefferson in his letter to the Danbury (CT) Baptist convention. Solemn, silent, and solitary individual prayer by anyone in any venue is not a sponsorship of government religion. It is a sacred part of our Judeo-Christian faith heritage which should not be separated from any American citizen.
It’s easy to take for granted one of our country’s greatest strengths: a legal system in which we settle our disputes peacefully in court. We do this without the type of violence, intimidation and threats against judges that occur in too many other countries. That was true until someone leaked a draft opinion from the Supreme Court a few weeks ago.
YouTube’s censors have struck again, removing a podcast discussing election integrity that it claims violates its “misinformation policy.”The podcast, hosted by Jacob Kersey, was an interview of me at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, in February 2021 and had been on YouTube for more than a year before it was suddenly taken down.YouTube never responded to Kersey’s appeal of the ban, but a day after Douglas Blair wrote about the censorship in The Daily Signal, the video suddenly reappeared on the website. Kersey says he received no explanation from YouTube for its actions.
